The Chikura Tourist Information Center is located inside the Chikura Station building. You can find brochures about nearby tourist spots and a variety of information about the surrounding area.

Takabe-Shrine in Chikura is a unique shrine dedicated to the god of knives, surrounded by beautiful nature. It’s perfect for a morning or evening stroll. It is 500 meters away from AZUL.

You can reach the beach in just a 4-minute walk from AZUL. It’s a popular spot for swimming, surfing, and fishing, and makes for a perfect morning or evening stroll.

Nojimazaki Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse that was the second to be lit in Japan, dating back to the second year of the Meiji era. Inside the lighthouse, you can climb a spiral staircase to reach the observation deck. The area around the lighthouse features walking paths, and at the southernmost point, there is a monument and a white bench on the rocky shore, offering a stunning view of the vast Pacific Ocean. It is also famous for its sunrise, sunset, and stargazing spots.

Daifuku-ji Temple is a historic temple established approximately 1500 years ago. It is known as the "Cliff Kannon" due to its location built on the cliffside of the mountain.

Kamogawa Sea World is one of Japan's premier marine theme parks, featuring both an aquarium and a stadium. It hosts shows featuring orcas, dolphins, and sea lions.
It is the number one popular spot for sightseeing in Minami-Boso.

Ubara Utopia offers breathtaking views of the rugged ria coast. Its unique natural formations have attracted many writers and artists throughout history, inspiring numerous works.
In the early Taisho era, there were plans to develop the area as a resort, which is how it earned the name "Utopia." It features a hiking trail around the area, allowing visitors to easily enjoy the stunning natural scenery. This is a personal favorite spot of mine, and I highly recommend it.

Katsuura Underwater Park's Underwater Observatory Tower is located 60 meters offshore.
Visitors descend into the sea via stairs and can view marine life through windows at a depth of 8 meters.The admission fee varies based on the day's visibility. The clearer the water, the higher the fee (Adults: ¥160 to ¥980).
Note: The underwater observatory tower has no elevator and is accessible only by a spiral staircase, making it difficult for wheelchair users.

The Tai-no-Ura Sightseeing Boat offers a chance to see the "Mystical Sea Bream" in their natural habitat.
In Amatsu-Kominato, the birthplace of Saint Nichiren, sea bream have been regarded as the embodiment of Saint Nichiren since the Kamakura period.The boat operates on an irregular schedule, and reservations are not required. It departs on demand and can accommodate one or more passengers.
Note: the boat may not operate depending on sea conditions, so it's recommended to check the sailing status by phone before planning your visit.
