Reservations

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: The cancellation fees for your reservation are as follows:

  • Up to 30 days before the stay: No cancellation fee

  • 29 to 7 days before the stay: 50% of the total amount

  • 6 days before to the day of stay: 100% of the total amount

  • No-show without prior notice: 100% of the total amount

Note: This policy corresponds to Airbnb's "Firm" cancellation policy. The percentage represents the ratio of the cancellation fee to the total amount, including accommodation fees, optional fees, cleaning fees, and all other charges.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: For bookings made directly through our website or through reservation platforms like Airbnb, we only accept credit card payments.

Q: Can minors make a reservation or stay by themselves?

A: No, we do not accept reservations or stays by minors alone. We also verify age at check-in by photographing identification documents.

Check-In & Check-Out

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

A:

  • Check-in: From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you arrive after 9:00 PM, it will be treated as a same-day cancellation.

  • Check-out: By 10:00 AM. A fee of 5,000 JPY per additional 30 minutes will be charged after the check-out time, due to cleaning arrangements.

Q: How does the check-in process work at an unmanned facility?

A: The check-in process consists of the following steps: "Pre-check-in (Smartphone)", "Entry with Electronic Key", and "Formal Check-in (Tablet)".

  • Pre-check-in (Smartphone/PC): Five days before, three days before, and on the day of check-in, you will receive a URL for "Pre-check-in" via message.
    By completing the pre-check-in, your formal check-in will be very smooth, requiring only a photo and signature upon arrival. Please follow the guide to register your information for "Pre-check-in".

  • Entry with Electronic Key: On the day of check-in, you will receive a 4-digit code for the electronic key via message.
    Once you arrive and it is check-in time (from 3:00 PM), you can unlock the door with the provided code.
    Enter the code into the electronic key to gain access.
    This code is valid only for the duration of your stay, from check-in to check-out.

    A guide for using the electronic key is available. Please refer to the "Facility Operation Guide" at the bottom of the "Pre-check-in" screen.

  • Formal Check-in (Tablet): After entering the facility, please complete the "Formal Check-in" on the tablet located inside the entrance. This must be done by 9:00 PM. Please note: As per lodging regulations, failure to complete the formal check-in by 9:00 PM will result in cancellation of your reservation and immediate departure.

Q: How do I check out?

A: Please tap the "Check-out" button on the tablet located inside the entrance.
That completes the check-out process.
Note that after the check-out time (10:00 AM), the electronic key code will be reset and will no longer work, so please be aware of this.

About Your Stay

Q: What is the maximum number of guests allowed?

A: The maximum occupancy is 4 guests (with 4 semi-double beds available).
Children in elementary school and above are counted as one guest each.
Children who are not yet of school age and infants can stay if they share a bed with an adult.
Guests who are not registered may not enter or stay at the property.
(If this rule is violated, you will be asked to leave immediately, and no refunds will be provided.)

Q: Can I invite friends over during my stay?

A: No, guests who are not registered are not allowed to enter or stay at the property.

Q: Are condiments provided?

A: For hygiene reasons, we do not provide condiments at the property.
Please bring your own or purchase them from the supermarket located just a 3-minute walk away.
If you have specific condiments or ingredients that you prefer, we recommend arranging them in advance and bring them with you.

Q: I would like to use the barbecue plates.

A: BBQ plates and grill nets are available for a fee. Please request and pay via credit card using the in-house tablet.

After use, clean the plate thoroughly in the kitchen and place it in the dish rack.
The grill net is disposable, so please discard it in the non-burnable waste bag in the kitchen.

Q: Are BBQ ingredients available for purchase nearby?

A: High-quality domestic beef and pork can be purchased at Aikawa Meat Shop, located a 2-minute walk away.
You can call them the day before or on the morning of your visit to specify the cuts and quantities you need and to schedule a pickup time.

Seafood can be bought at local markets such as the roadside station near the Tomiura IC on the Tateyama Expressway, or at the Chikura Roadside Station "Shiokaze Ohkoku." It is recommended to purchase these in advance and bring them with you.

Vegetables can be purchased at a supermarket "ODOYA" located a 3-minute walk away.
If you have specific ingredient preferences, arranging them in advance is also recommended.

Q: Are there any restaurants nearby?

A: Within walking distance, you'll find a variety of dining options including Western food, cafes, Japanese cuisine, ramen shops, and bakeries.
Additionally, there are many more excellent restaurants a few minutes' drive away.

We have a page dedicated to "Dining Guide"  where we share recommendations for places we've personally enjoyed.
In particular, we highly recommend "Daikokuya" for its exceptional seafood and sushi. It's a great place to experience local seafood and drinks, and we suggest trying it at least once during your stay.

Q: Can I drink the tap water?

A: The kitchen faucet is equipped with a built-in water purifier.
If you prefer, you can purchase bottled mineral water from a nearby supermarket.

Q: What are the usage hours for the outdoor terrace?

A: The outdoor terrace can be used until 8:00 PM.
To ensure harmony with our neighbors, we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Q: Are baby chairs and cribs available?

A: We provide a high chair that can be attached to the table.
However, we do not offer cribs.

Q: Are air purifiers available?

A: Air purifiers are provided in both the living room and the 1st-floor bedroom.

Q: Is there an internet connection available?

A: We have a fiber optic connection installed, providing high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the entire property.
For an even faster connection, a wired LAN is available in the skip-floor workspace.
If you're working remotely, you can also output to the 65-inch TV in the living room using an HDMI cable.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

A: Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Arrivals after 9:00 PM will be considered a same-day cancellation.

Check-out is by 10:00 AM.
If you check out after the standard check-out time of 10:00 AM, a fee of ¥5,000 will be charged for every additional 30 minutes.

If you wish to extend your check-out time until 12:00 PM, you can purchase the "Late Check-Out" option via the tablet, allowing you to enjoy a more leisurely morning.

Q: Can I request an early check-in or late check-out?

A: Early check-in is not available due to cleaning schedules.
However, you can request a late check-out by using the tablet, which allows you to extend your check-out time until 12:00 PM, giving you a more relaxed morning.

Q: Can I leave any items behind that I no longer need at check-out?

A: Please take all items with you, except for those that were provided during your stay.
If any items left behind are considered bulky waste, a disposal fee of 5,000 yen per item will be charged.
Please be aware that disposal costs are incurred.

Q: Are there any designated smoking areas?

A: Smoking is prohibited on the premises, including inside the house, on the terrace, in the dog run, and in the parking area.
This applies to both cigarettes and heated tobacco products.
If smoking is detected, a penalty fee will be charged.
Thank you for your understanding.

Q: Can I have fireworks?

A: Fireworks are not permitted on the premises, including the terrace, dog run, and parking area.
However, you can enjoy fireworks at the nearby beach, which is a 4-minute walk away.
Please ensure you take all your trash with you after the event.

Q: Can I have a campfire?

A: Campfires are not permitted on the premises, including the terrace, dog run, and parking area.

Facilities & Amenities 

Q: Do you have a wine opener and wine cooler?

A: Yes, we do.

Q: Do you have a dryer?

A: Yes, we have a drum-type washing machine with a drying function, as well as a gas dryer.

Q: Do you provide shampoo, conditioner, and body soap?

A: These are provided in the bathroom.
However, if you have specific preferences, please bring your usual products.

Q: Do you provide toothbrushes?

A: Disposable toothbrushes made in Japan are provided.

Q: Do you provide skincare products, cotton pads, or razors?

A: These items are not provided, so please bring your own.

Pet Accommodation

Q: What are the guidelines and restrictions for staying with pets?

A: Please refer to the "Pet Accommodation" page for information on staying with pets at our facility. This page includes safety guidelines, prohibited actions, and frequently asked questions regarding pet accommodation. Be sure to review it carefully.

Q: What types and number of dogs are allowed, and what are the conditions for their stay?

A: We allow dogs up to medium size, with a maximum of 2 dogs per stay.
Additionally, dogs must be up-to-date on rabies and combination vaccinations within the past year and must have been treated for fleas, ticks, and heartworms to be eligible for accommodation.

Q: What are the operating hours for the dog run?

A: The dog run is available until 7:00 PM. We appreciate your understanding as we aim to maintain harmony with the local community.

Transportation & Access

Q: Can you provide information about the parking?

A: We have two free parking spaces available for your use.

Q: Can you provide information about the nearest station?

A: The nearest station is Chikura Station on the JR Sotobo Line.
From Chikura Station, you can take a bus or taxi to reach our location.

Q: Is there a shuttle service available?

A: As our facility operates as a self-check-in property, we do not provide shuttle services.

In Case of Trouble

Q: I damaged a facility or equipment inside the property.

A: Please report the damage through Airbnb’s messaging system or the web application on the in-house tablet.

Q: I soiled the futon or sheets.

A: Please report the damage through Airbnb’s messaging system or the web application on the in-house tablet.
